Terasi 80 x 15 banner

As I’m not an experience gimp nor any graphic authoring tools user, I had been struggling for few hours to make this button. Yes, few hours. I was desperately ended up to find a correct font and picture for the banner. No luck. Then I finally found this site to automate the banner making (duh!). For the picture, I use the small-tiny-globe from Planet 80×15 banner.
Anyway, thx to Ronny for having my blog included in planet.terasi.net.
You can find the file here and use it accordingly.

A big dream for a notorious software company to say “That absolutely should be the goal.”
I beg your pardon?
IBM’s Personal Computing Division by Lenovo
Lenovo completed the acquisition of IBM’s Personal Computing Division on 1 May 2005. This 1.5 billion deal puts IBM aside on its PC and notebook business while IBM will concentrate on bigger mainframe machine.
Looking back at the prominent Think-legend that brought IBM to have its niche market among PC and specially Thinkpad notebook users, does not put this pride on the same equation with IBM strategy. It’s over.
Though Lenovo will still have the pride to Think-legend name in the next 5 years, seems that it is not the Think that people looking at, It’s the big blue IBM company that stand up as the first PC seller in the world with numerous researches and invention.
IBM will get fresh US$650 million in cash and US$600 million in Lenovo Group shares. Though IBM has nominated Robert W. Moffat, Jr. and Henry Chow to sit on the Lenovo board, still doesn’t have much impact to drive the steer as they are only non-voting observer. Lenovo is now having two beautiful dining room lamps to put on the corner.
Lenovo has proven it existence by partnering with International Olympic committee as the first Chinese company to become the computer technology equipment partner with almost 20,000 employees around the world.
The Website.
Lenovo Thinkpad provides with similar website for PC and notebook sales to IBM, but if we trace deeper, we will end up in to an ibm.com domain without live sales available for chatting like it used to be.
Tried to click this link http://www.lenovo.com/support/au/ on this page, I ended up with “Our Apologies. The page you requested cannot be displayed.”

Now, PowerBook comes with Tiger and that’s not all. Apple stuffed this little beautiful thing with several others software like iLife ’05, including iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie HD, iDVD and GarageBand.
Cheaper but still beautiful version, iBook, follows the trend by having the Tiger installed on it as well.

Though some Tiger fans queued to get Tiger the first on the hand, developers said Tiger has problems with some networking softwares.
