Debian Sarge Freeze is now official

The long waited Debian Sarge release has about to an end. According to this email, Sarge will have it scheduled as below.

3rd May (Today): Freeze time and security support now available for testing
5-8th May: BSP to bring bug count down from ~85 to ~60/70
15th May: Debian installer finalised
27th May: Zarro RC boogs
30th May: Release

Debian Woody previous stable release was on 19th of July, 2002. It is now considered too late to release Debian Sarge into a new stable release. Some people have gone into a newer GNU/Linux distribution like Ubuntu. At least they are doing something rather than postponing the release until God-knows-when.
