Passed BCRAN 642-821

I just realized that I passed my BCRAN a while ago since I’m quite busy lately with moving into a new unit and job.
I passed my Cisco BCRAN 642-821 test on 18 November 2006 with 988/1000. I got everything 100% but 89% on Describe and Configure PPP in a remote access environment.

Moved-in to a new place.

I’ve been living in this place for more than 2 years. The ownership has change twice since I’ve been living there and the last owner seems wants to occupy the place so I have to move out.

Yet this song lately come into my mind several months ago when I started my journey to retake my CCNA, and still, it is haunting my mind while I’m currently doing my CCNP.

Reverse telnet; accessing router using AUX port.

You have your router connected to internet, in this scenario you’re using 2501 (GW), and you need to ask your friend to troubleshoot your second router, a 2503 (R1), that seems has problem connecting to GW.
You can take advantage the use of AUX port.

You did a reverse telnet and suddenly your connection locked-up and you accidentally closed the connection without using ‘CTRL-SHIFT-6 x’.
You went back to the router you were connecting from and found out that the connection was still there yet you couldn’t do a ‘disconnect’ command.
Use ‘clear line XX’ where XX is the AUX port to [...]

Annoying bell on fluxbox.

If you think the sound of bell in your Linux or particularly with fluxbox is annoying, you can ‘redirect’ the bell sound to ‘visible’ by setting set bell visible on your /etc/inputrc.
Well, that’s not finished yet. That was only for console alteration. If you’re using X application, you need to use command exec xset -b [...]
