Cost and Lost ratio?

A network circuit was down for about 4 hours and when I asked Telstra to provide the reason for outage, here’s what I’ve got.

  • Telstra did see a node down alarm during that time.
  • No fault found as no further investigation was done. This was because the link had gone down only under 400 minutes and currently up. Telstra was not obliged to fix it as the ratio between cost and lost was not acceptable from Telstra point of view

Finally, I’ve completed my last CCNP exam, CIT.

It was Saturday, 09 December 2006 when I started my last CCNP exam at 09.00am. Questions were very hard, specially when it came with Encryption and VPN as I didn’t have much knowledge about these. Simulation exam was very easy, just needed a bit of common sense to find out what was wrong with the configuration. I made it with 978/1000.
